#SEXIEST Woman of the Day: Olivia Munn

Olivia Munn is a Chinese-American model, actress and TV host, known best for her work on the G4 Network’s popular show “Attack of the Show!”. Lisa Olivia Munn was born July 2, 1982 in Oklahoma but after her Mother remarried a member of the U.S. Air Force, the family began relocating around the world, finally settling in Tokyo, Japan at the Yokota Ait Force base. That’s where Olivia Munn got her start in local Japanese theater productions and in the Japanese fashion industry, credited as Lisa Munn. One of five children, Olvia says she was the resident clown in the family, always making her siblings laugh. It was after moving back to the U.S. and living in Los Angeles that she began going by the name Olivia Munn.
After an internship at FOX Sports, Olivia Munn began working as a sideline reporter there but found that sports wasn’t a part of the industry she was passionate about. Olivia Munn started pursuing a career in acting, landing a role in a straight-to-video horror film and a Zebrahead music video. Olivia Munn enjoys surfing and was able to land the role of a teen surfer in The N Network’s “Beyond the Break” for two seasons. It was during this time that Olivia Munn grabbed the role of co-host of “Attach of the Show!” with Kevin Pereira. The two replaced the original co-hosts, Sarah Lane and Brendan Moran, who left in 2006 to get married and travel the world together (the two have since divorced). Olivia Munn and Kevin Pereira discuss the world of video games and the people who play them. Olivia Munn also hosts “Around the Net” and “Drifting” for G4.
Olivia Munn is also known for her modeling. She has appeared in ads for Nike, Pepsi, Hewlett Packard and Neutrogena and in magazines such as Esquire, Foam, Men’s Edge, Complex and Men’s Health. Playboy named her “Babe of the Month” and featured her in a non-nude photo shoot. It’s a title that has bestowed to other sexy actresses such as Ali Landry and Katie Holmes and singer Christina Aguilera. Vanity Fair featured Olivia Munn in their “Hot Young Hollywood” issue and Maxim Magazine listed her as number 99 in the “Hot 100 of 2008” list. AskMen.com lists her as number 83 for the “Top 99 Women” in 2008.
Olivia Munn was recently seen in the big screen horror film “Insanitarium” and will make her major film debut in early 2009 in “Big Stan” starring Rob Schneider and David Carradine. G4 calls their host a “badass… that they can’t get enough of.” Olivia Munn is currently single.
