Sony Playstation 3 Slim

It looks like Sony continue their traditional system slimming with the announcement of their new Playstation 3 Slim. The top-notch video game system will now retail for $300, while still maintaining the same feature as its bulkier counterpart. Gizmodo breaks down some of the juicy details:
The slim will come with a 120GB drive, and will be 32% smaller and 36% lighter than the standard PlayStation 3, as well as using 34% less power. The $300 price will apply to all PlayStation 3s starting tomorrow. The Slim will be available everywhere by the first week of September.
The 80GB PS3 (current model) will be discounted to $300, whereas the 160GB PS3 will be $400. There will be a new PS3 logo as well as modifications to the official name from PLAYSTATION 3 to PlayStation 3 as to not be shouting all the time. It’ll also have a BRAVIA Sync feature that’ll allow you to control the PS3’s XMB with your Sony TV remote as long as they’re connected via HDMI. And the TV will automatically turn off the PS3 when the TV goes off.
There’s also a vertical stand retailing for $24 on September 3. Whether or not you can stand it up vertically for long periods of time without the stand is unknown. Sony also says that they’re eliminating the feature of installing other operating systems on the Slim, so no more Linux. Oh, and there will only be two USB ports.

Air Jordan III (3) Retro – White – Cement Grey – Slam Dunk Pack 2010

Jordan Brand’s 2010 line is looking to be a literal slam dunk, as the Air Jordan III (3) Retro White-Cement Grey will return in the Slam Dunk Pack, a two pair release that celebrates MJ’s high flyin’ NBA Dunk Contest victories. The other shoe involved in this already legendary lineup is the Air Jordan II (2) Retro White/Black -Varsity Red. The Air Jordan Slam Dunk Pack will hit retailers sometime in 2010 for a currently undisclosed amount.

As Michael Jordan’s Hall of Fame induction nears, Air Jordans will continue to release in celebration of his finest career moments. Scheduled to release next Saturday are the “Hall of Fame” Air Jordan Six Rings. As far as the Six Rings fusions go, these are one of the most limited pairs to release. The pair also has the most detail of the 6 Rings series; most noticeably on the mid-sole, which highlights the unbeatable facts of Jordan’s career. The shoes are now available at UTA for the suggested retail price of $175 (with free shipping).

COMME des GARCONS x Converse Footwear Announcement

Following up on their successful Japanese launch earlier this year, Converse and heralded fashion label COMME des GARCONS team up for another batch of sneakers, utilizing the timeless Chuck Taylor All Star model. The shoes will see a worldwide roll-out at the end of this month at select COMME des GARCONS stores, including their New York, London, Hong Kong, Paris and Seoul locations. A second launch will take place in October at top Converse retailers in the US, Canada, and China as well as flagship COMME des GARCONS stores. Inspired by an original 50s U.S. Army model within the Converse archives, four different models will make a release, with retail set at $100 USD a piece. Lil Wayne seems to be Hip-Hop's super recruiter, because he has officially signed Bow Wow to Cash Money Records; adding him to his fast-growing roster of new artists.
In a shocking announcement on Twitter, Bow Wow reemerged after "vanishing" from the public eye for the past week, to reveal news that he has joined the ranks of Lil Wayne's Young Money movement.

Bow Wow's decision to sign to Cash Money was a surprising one. Just 4 months ago, the rapper sat down with Real Talk NY to announce his retirement from Hip-Hop by saying "For me, I'm good, I'm good on the music tip. I've done everything I've ever wanted to do, everything. I can leave it at that." Interestingly enough, the announcement came on the heels of the lack luster album sales of his last album New Jack City II. In the video, he announced that he would focus more on being an actor and clothing designer.

What is up with NBA baller Stephon Marbury? Over the past few weeks, he's been displaying some very odd behavior and streaming it online for all to see via Justin.TV.
From breaking down into tears during one viral video to eating Vaseline on another, those watching are starting to wonder while others are beginning to worry about the one-time NBA star.
The most recent controversial video Marbury streamed online showed him smoking marijuana -- a no-no for an NBA player, especially a free agent awaiting offers from potential teams.
In the clip, he's seen puffing on a hand-rolled joint while riding in the passenger seat of a vehicle, and later confirmed that it was marijuana.
"The cat is out the bag, I smoke marijuana," Marbury says in the clip while laughing. "Yep, I can relate [smiling into the webcam] ... oh, you saw me, you guys saw me."
While explaining into a webcam inside a sporting goods store, Marbury is told by another man that it is a bad idea to smoke weed, especially since he's a professional athlete. This is when the basketball player corrects him, making it clear that he's a free agent and isn't bound by the NBA's rules presently.
"I'm not on a team, I'm not under contract. I can do whatever I want to do, I'm a grown man," he says. "I smoke weed occasionally. But guess what, I'm not under contact, I'm not playing basketball. I'm not driving, I'm not in the car intoxicated, so I'm following the rules.
"You can buy marijuana. you can go inside a store, they give marijuana to cancer patients, then they tell kids that you can't smoke marijuana?" Marbury asks.
It's unclear what the motivation behind his odd behavior is, but the viral videos are sure drawing a lot of attention. Some have speculated that Marbury may be seeking a reality show deal and acting out for show, while others have questioned whether or not he is on drugs.
Whatever it is, it may have a negative effect on his NBA career, especially after the weed smoking clip.
At press time, there had been no official offers from teams for next NBA season. It is rumored that the Washington Wizards have shown interest though.

A sticky case of revenge unfolded last week in a Wisconsin motel after a woman discovered her husband was cheating and invited three other scorned lovers to settle the score — with Krazy Glue.
The 36-year-old Lothario was carrying on with all of them before his wife figured it out and notified the others, according to a criminal complaint filed in Calumet County, Wis., in a town about 90 miles north of Milwaukee.
“We had a plan,” one of the women, Therese Ziemann, 48, told an investigator, according to court records.
Ziemann lured the man to a Stockbridge hotel Thursday, promising a “rub down,” the complaint says. He was blindfolded and tied to a bed. Then Ziemann text-messaged the other three women, including the man’s wife, who joined her in the room.
